abstract

• The Malaysia-Japan Workshop on Radio Technology 2024 (MJWRT2024) has been successfully organized on 26th – 28th August 2024 in Bayview Beach Resort, Batu Ferringhi Beach, Penang, Malaysia. MJWRT2024 is the fifth workshop on radio technology between Malaysia and Japan. The MJWRT2024 is organized by the Technical Committee on Antennas and Propagation of the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers (IEICE/AP), the IEEE Malaysia AP/MTT/EMC Joint Chapter, co-organized by the Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (MJIIT, UTM) and Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), and co-sponsored by the IEEE AP-S Tokyo Chapter. This workshop is intended to provide an international forum for the exchange of information on the progress of research and development in antennas, propagation, RF and radio communication systems. It is also an important objective of this workshop to enhance the friendship between Malaysia and Japanese researchers. The theme for MJWRT2024 is “Elevate Connectivity, Empower the Future”. The workshop has successfully gathered 60 attendees from Japan and Malaysia which include academia and industry participants. The Chair of IEEE Malaysia AP/MTT/EMC Joint Chapter, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Haizal Jamaluddin officiated the workshop during the opening ceremony. Delegates from Japan were led by Prof. Dr. Kunio Sakakibara, the Chair of IEICE/AP Japan (Technical Committee on Antennas and Propagation). The workshop also included industry speakers from Altair Engineering Sdn Bhd, Keysight Technologies Sdn Bhd and Nihon Denkei Sdn Bhd. List of Organizing Committee is available in this pdf
